There is nothing more elegant than a Shaker carrier and to add function to an object is just adding to its beauty. The divided carrier is the more hardy of the Shaker carriers. By introducing a solid wood handle gives it more structure and you'd be surprised what you can tote around. Students will process their bands/wood with some light tool work using the bandsaw, sanders, drills and soaking box. Once the divided carrier is assembled, students will have the options to add finish or leave natural. The finishing will be discussed either way.

All levels welcome; moderate hand and upper-body strength is needed.
